KELOWNA ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the closure of our beloved salon in Kelowna. For nearly 8 years, being a part of the Kelowna community has been an incredible journey filled with joyous moments and cherished memories with our clients. Our mission has always been to empower women through hair, whether it's through stunning colour services, gentle extensions, or our dedication to helping those experiencing hair loss.

The decision to close our Kelowna location weighs heavily on us, but we believe in transparency and want to share the reasons behind this difficult choice.

Firstly, the lease for our Bernard location expired in May, and unfortunately, our landlords have chosen to raise the rental rate significantly, making it unsustainable for us to continue operating there. This extreme rental increase does nothing but decrease our already slim margins, and unfortunately we just do not believe the space is worth the increase, as it needs much work that our landlords are unwilling to provide improvements on.

 

Additionally, as an Alberta-based company with both owners residing in Edmonton, the challenges of staffing and training in a constantly evolving industry have become increasingly difficult to manage from afar. With two of our three Kelowna stylists set to relocate to Edmonton by end of summer, the prospect of hiring and training a new team amidst rising costs is simply not feasible for us at this time.

 

As we navigate this transition, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the memories and relationships we've built with you over the years. To help ease this transition, we've compiled a list of trusted stylists in Kelowna who specialize in our VOGUEPEARL extension technique, that you've come to love from us. They can be contacted using the resources provided below.

Until May 30th, 2024, we will be open by appointment only. Please note that as of May 4th, we will no longer have a receptionist, so kindly leave a voicemail, and we will promptly return your call.

 

Alyssa's last day before relocating to our Edmonton location will be May 9th, while Schae will be available to take clients until May 7th, and then again from May 21st to the 30th. Afterward, Schae can be contacted using the information listed below to schedule appointments at her new location for the summer.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and the memories we've shared. We will carry them with us as we embark on this new chapter.
